In addition to the Sydney Opera House, which any visitor to Sydney is required to see, by this day, Dec. 20, we will have gotten a good idea of what this famous town has to offer. Too few days, but it’s the best we can squeeze in when we have so much territory to see and so little.

And now we’re heading to Cairns for the Great Barrier Reef. Looking forward to a boat trip tomorrow out in the reef. Wish we had more time to spend and snorkel. Maybe next time. The journal entry today comes from a Take-a-Break called Capturing Moments for Memories. It is based on the idea that too often we dash through our days (as we tend to do especially over the holidays) without really experiencing whatever it is that we’re doing.

Read the whole article for an explanation of why this is a particularly good idea when you’re running around with too much to do.
